Hypothyroidism is one of the most common endocrine disorders affecting individuals across all age groups, particularly women. The condition results from reduced thyroid hormone production, leading to fatigue, weight gain, and various metabolic disturbances.
Diet and nutrition play a vital role in managing hypothyroidism effectively. Proper nutritional interventions—such as balanced iodine intake, inclusion of selenium-rich foods, and avoidance of goitrogenic substances—can help regulate thyroid function and improve overall health outcomes.
This project adopts a case study approach to analyze the impact of dietary management on hypothyroid patients, exploring how personalized nutrition plans can contribute to symptom control and enhanced quality of life.
