The Indian family system has long been regarded as the foundation of cultural values, emotional support, and social identity. However, with rapid modernization, urbanization, and globalization, the traditional joint family structure is witnessing significant transformations. This project, “Contemporary Problems in Family System in Modern India”, explores the challenges faced by families today — including generational conflicts, changing gender roles, rising divorce rates, and the decline of joint family traditions.
The study delves into how economic pressures, migration, women’s empowerment, and the influence of media have reshaped family dynamics in India. It also examines the psychological and sociological impacts of these changes on individuals and society at large.
This project report is comprehensive, IGNOU-guideline compliant, and carefully structured to help students understand the evolving family systems of modern India — ensuring excellent academic performance with minimal effort.
